The MFCC Walking Football group were thrilled to have Berwick U3A visit them for a couple of games at Caulfield Park last Tuesday 22 Nov.
It coincided with the opening of the new Caulfield Park outdoor futsal facility next to the main pavilion at the park. This allowed Maccabi and Berwick to be running two games at the same time, which has always been a struggle in the past.
Both Maccabi and Berwick have been playing Walking Football for a few years now, but it was the first time that both clubs went head to head. In the true WF spirit players were mixed up between four teams and everyone went out to have some fun and exercise in the fresh air.
After play we all went in for lunch to the bowls club and compared our old football stories. Maccabi FC has now put out an open invitation for any other WF teams to come and join them for socials games at any time in the future. Of course, Berwick are welcome back anytime too. KOW!
