As Walking Football (WF) continues to grow around Melbourne, as it does around the world, a new WF hub started up in Boroondara and Football Victoria called out to Maccabi FC to help the new hub get established.
In true Maccabi and WF spirit the call was answered and the Maccabi FC group visited Boroondara for a friendly game on Wednesday 9 Nov. Given that Boroondara were new to the game the Maccabi group happily shared players with them to show them how the game is played.
The friendly ended up in a 6 all draw but far more importantly many smiles were shared and new friendships made.
Maccabi FC wishes Boroondara the very best in their WF development and looks forward to the next visit and games.
