We are thrilled to announce that senior women's coach, Dimitri Donati, is back on board for season 2024 with lots of good ideas for the club.
Dimi, as we know him, has learned to love Maccabi FC and its desire to be a destination for female football in the Glen Eira area.
Club president Kevin Milstein said, "I am very happy that Dimi is continuing his term at Maccabi FC, especially as Dimi shares our dream for Maccabi girls and women in football. Dimi went through a tough time at the beginning of season 2023 and had to piece together a womens team almost from scratch, but he got it going and now has plans to oversee the transition of our older girls into the womens team over the next couple of seasons. We are looking forward to an exciting season together."
The women and older girls of Maccabi FC have already been training since the end of the regular season and will be doing so for the coming weeks leading up to a pre-season in early 2024.
"I know that Maccabi FC is a wonderful and welcoming club for all and I feel confident that together that we will build something beautiful in the coming years", says Dimi.
"I am also looking forward to working with the club in creating a new home for the girls and women in the old bunker. We will make them feel at home and wanted like no other club that I have been at before. I thank the club and our 'super president' Kevin for this opportunity."
